Petty Pool

Set in 40 acres of Cheshire woodland, Venturewood at Petty Pool gives school groups and youth groups the chance to step outside the classroom and experience learning in a completely different way.

Our Day Courses combine outdoor adventure with purposeful learning in a safe, supportive environment, where young people can challenge themselves, develop new skills and build confidence through hands-on experiences in the outdoors.

Our day courses combine adventurous activities with high-quality outdoor education, helping young people build confidence, develop new skills and experience positive challenge in a safe and supportive environment.
Whether it’s working together to solve a problem, trying an activity for the first time or achieving something they didn’t think was possible, every day course provides opportunities for young people to discover what they’re capable of.

Using adventurous activities and the natural environment, participants learn through experience.

They solve problems, take responsibility, work together and reflect on their achievements, helping them develop skills and confidence that extend far beyond their visit.

Each activity gives young people the opportunity to recognise their strengths, celebrate their successes and see what they are capable of.

We welcome groups of up to 33 pupils and create bespoke programmes based around your aims and needs. All activities are fully risk assessed and regularly reviewed.

Woodland setting

Our woodland setting provides a unique opportunity for young people to lean outdoors, discover the natural environment and understand the importance of caring for the world around them.

Activity areas

Our site includes dedicated spaces for a wide range of outdoor activities, from problem-solving challenges and team-building tasks to climbing, stream walking and bushcraft activities. Our facilities allow groups to take on new challenges in a supportive environment all in one place.

First aid-trained staff

Your safety is our priority. All members of our team are first aid trained and are available to support your group throughout your visit.

Equipment provided

We provide the specialist equipment needed for all the activities we deliver, allowing pupils to arrive ready to get involved. Our team will guide groups through each experience and ensure activities are suitable for the age and ability of the participants.
