As the official learning provider at Delamere Forest, we are proud to deliver outdoor education experiences for schools and groups visiting Delamere Forest, in partnership with Forestry England.
From exploring habitats and learning woodland skills to working together on challenges, our programmes encourage students to get involved, ask questions and learn through doing.

Delamere Forest provides the perfect setting for children and young people to explore, discover and learn outside of the classroom. Our sessions combine forest school approaches, environmental learning and hands-on activities to help students develop curiosity, confidence and a greater understanding of the natural world.
Our programmes can support classroom learning through practical experiences in the forest, but they are also designed to be enjoyable and accessible for every group.
We work with schools to create sessions that link to your curriculum goals, whether you are looking to explore a specific topic, develop outdoor skills or simply give your pupils time to experience nature in a different way.
Every visit is planned around your group, with activities adapted to suit the age, abilities and interests of your students.

Learning Themes
Bushcraft & Outdoor Skills
A practical introduction to woodland skills. Activities could include: shelter building, fire lighting, campfire cooking, knots & rope , hammocks, dens, woodland survival skills.
Nature Discovery
Discover the wildlife and habitats of Delamere Forest. Activities could include: Bug hunting, bird watching, tree identification, scavenger hunts, navigation skills and orienteering.
Curriculum-linked Learning
Our outdoor educational experiences that can be tailored to support a wide range of curriculum topics across EYFS, KS1, KS2 and beyond.
Teamwork & Problem Solving
Challenge, collaborate and solve problems together.
Nature Craft & Woodcraft
Learn through creativity and exploration. Activities could include: Nature art, clay creations, leaf rubbings, woodland crafts, bug hotels, bird boxes and sensory activities.
Habitat Management
Learn how we care for and manage our forests. Activities could include: Habitat creation, woodland management, litter picking and environmental projects.
