Venturewood is a service provided by the Petty Pool Trust. We use outdoor education to help people build confidence, develop independence, connect with nature and strengthen the skills they need to thrive.
Through supportive, inclusive and adventurous experiences, participants learn by doing, take on challenges and discover what they are capable of.

At Venturewood, we deliver outdoor education across two distinctive locations: Petty Pool and Delamere Forest.

Petty Pool &
Delamere Forest
Find your next venture
Our Petty Pool site is a dedicated outdoor education centre designed for activity-based outdoor education.
Set in 40 acres of beautiful woodland, it is ideal for groups looking to find their adventurous side and have fun.
Activities at Petty Pool may include high ropes courses, climbing and abseiling, archery, bushcraft, and a range of problem-solving and team building challenges. Each session is carefully planned to suit the group’s objectives.
Our provision at Delamere Forest is delivered in partnership with Forestry England and focuses on nature-based and curriculum-linked learning.
Through Forest School approaches, environmental exploration and hands-on activities, participants develop environmental awareness.
Activities may include forest exploration, navigation and orienteering, bushcraft and shelter building, environmental studies and team challenges within the woodland.

Each time, he climbed higher, pushing himself further and proving what he could achieve.
